It’s In The Vault

Leave it to Nike to come up with one of the most creative party concept’s I’ve ever seen in Chicago.

Friday they transformed an old bank in Wicker Park Chicago into a speak easy. At the end of a long red carpet, after three check-in points, guests were greeted by waitresses who had been transformed into pin-up girls offering manhattans and martinis.

Once we made it down into the bank’s basement we were shown the vault- which used to house saving accounts and gold bars. I felt like I was in Bailey Building and Loan.

The men including; Genuine Entertainment’s Vince and Lonnie , the Trib’s Celeb reporter Luis,’s Marcus Riley and the ChiBoys were issued briefcases that contained St. Alfred’s customed designed World Cup jerseys. Most of the Chicago Fire soccer team was on hand to celebrate the partnership between Nike and The World Cup.

As the night went on the party moved to a back room with a dj- but most of the crowd remained pretty mellow. It was perfection.
