Events In Odd Places

Everyone had a front row seat at the Akira fashion show at Rock N Roll McDonald’s.

Instead of a runway the “fashion elite” (and a few of us who were somehow invited) watched models decked in Akira walking through tables and booths on the upper level of Mickey D’s.

No champagne was served, instead guests sipped on frozen strawberry lemonades and Seattle’s Iced coffees. The passed snack? French fries- of course.

Next we made a stop to The Hunt Club to support Skyy’s summer flavors and then moved on to the Tesla dealership for the Crowne Royal Big Boi event.

There was a line wrapped around the building- luckily being media we got right in.

Inside the red carpet was packed with media, but the dance floor was just getting started. The dealership had been emptied and their were plenty of bars serving Crowne cocktails, a cigar rolling station and a tailor who was embroidering Crowne Royal bags.

Once Big Boi arrived he hung out in the VIP, and test drove some cars. Since he wasn’t performing and the storms were moving in- we hopped on the scooter and bolted.

Wednesday night proved that some of the best events can happen in the most random of places.
