Do You Really NoMI?

If you’re not familiar with this Chicago restaurant/terrace it’s pronounced (No or know meee) hence- the joke in the title of this post.

But I suppose if I have to explain it, then it’s not really that funny…hmm.

Anyhow, each year NoMI names a group of people as ambassadors. These are people who they think enjoy fancy cocktails, food, and things and have fancy friends.

Well I fooled them- cause they have made me a 2012 Ambassador!

No, for real- they did…check it out here:

They are revealing us/them one by one a day at a time so none of us know who else is in this crew. Last night they had a little summer party and of course I spent my entire night staring at the crowd and trying to guess who else was an ambassador.*

Anyhow, this is unreal because The Park Hyatt is my #1 favorite bed to sleep in- ever.  They invited a group of media to enjoy a night there a few years ago and I’ve never slept better.* And I truly do have some fancy friends, so that part is spot on.

The perks that come with this title are pretty sweet, but I don’t want to be a jerk and talk about them. All I’ll say is- if you want to check out NoMI with MI (bad humor again) then drinks are on me.

What’s that? All of a sudden you think I’m funny?

Fantastic- call MI.

*sans alcohol or ambien

*yeah I’d want to punch me too if I was talking to me while I clearly was mentally absent.

  1. Hey! I realize this is kind of off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does operating a well-established blog such as yours require a
lot of work? I’m brand new to operating a blog but I do write in my journal daily. I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and feelings online. Please let me know if you have any recommendations or tips for new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!
