What an end of an era.

Rarely do I love a TV show like I loved *Gossip Girl*- I’d say Seinfeld is the only series finale that even came close. (Sorry Sex in the City, Friends and Sopranos)

For a long time I felt embarrassed to be a fan of a show that revolved around high school and college aged kids, but last night my perspective shifted. Joshua Schwartz, the show’s producer, explained that the show’s fan base skews older. He also pointed out that the city of NYC had given Gossip Girl it’s own day, and Obama name checked it while speaking.

That’s all I need to justify my addiction.

I felt the finale was clever, surprising and provided conclusions I didn’t even know I’d been hoping for.

And I had no idea it was Dan, but now I can’t believe I didn’t realize it sooner.

It will be a while before another show captivates my attention, but in the meantime…I’ll watch every GG from the pilot…for the 4th time.
